Opening Times:

Our usual opening times are as follows:

Monday: 10am – 3pm

Tuesday & Wednesday: Closed

Thursday 10am – 5pm (Appointments available until 8pm)

Friday & Saturday: 10am – 5pm

Sundays: Closed

Weekends can be busy, as you can imagine, so if you visit us during the week you’ll find we’re much quieter and there may be no waiting time at all.

 

When visiting us…….

Please check our opening hours and make sure you know how where to find us!  We’re situated just a few miles from both Coventry and Rugby and close to Coombe Abbey Hotel.  We’re in a pretty little Warwickshire village, parking is on the road, but there is also a car park at the bottom of Barr Lane, (just along the road from the outlet).

Do I need an appointment?

If you choose to book a personal appointment with one of our Bridal Consultants, we’ll text you 24 hours before to confirm.  However, if you’d just like to pop along and visit us without an appointment, allow plenty of time just in case we’re busy.   If we’re busy when you arrive, we’ll advise you on sizes and styles on the rails and you’re welcome to browse the collection until we’re able to see you.  Alternatively, there’s a fabulous Delicatessen Café next door called Pumpkins (www.pumpkinsdeli.co.uk) or a pub around the corner, The Bulls Head (www.bullsheadbrinklow.co.uk) where you can get great food and drink.

As you can imagine, we’re always busier at weekends, so you may find a weekday visit preferable.

How many people can I bring with me?

Whilst we don’t limit the number of people you bring with you, too many opinions can result in you being overwhelmed and confused.  We suggest you bring one or two people whose opinions you trust.  We’ve written a Blog about this if you’d like to read more.

Do you have wheelchair access?

We do have disabled access – but would appreciate it if you could inform us ahead of your visit, so that we are ready to greet you!

When should I start looking?

We have brides looking years ahead and Brides who don’t start looking until a matter of weeks before their wedding.   Whether you want to buy your gown in advance or leave it until the last minute, the dresses are all available off the peg. Please be aware if you do fall in love with a gown, but feel you are looking too early and do not want to put a deposit on it, your dream dress will probably not be here next time you come to look. As many of our gowns are one-off’s there is usually only one chance to buy.

What should I bring with me?

It’s a good idea to wear light coloured underwear and if possible a strapless bra.  If you have a pair of shoes with a heel similar in height to those you intend to wear on the day, pop them in your bag to bring too!

Can I bring Champagne with me?

Sorry……  I’m afraid we do have a policy of no drinks around the wedding dresses. However, we highly recommend Pumpkins Deli Café next door, or The Bull Pub, around the corner as places to visit for afternoon tea or a glass of fizz to celebrate once you’ve made your purchase!

Can I bring my Dad/Brother/Fiance with me?

If you’ve made an appointment, Grooms, dads and other male friends and relatives are very welcome to attend, however, please let us know in advance if you intend to bring a gentleman with you.  This is because we can get very busy and some brides prefer not to be seen by a man in their wedding dress before their big day.  Also, for the dignity of our customers (with some dresses not fitting properly, bare backs and bra straps on show!), we do prefer to keep the shop for ladies only.   There is a fabulous café next door, and the pub is just around the corner if they’d like to wait there.

How much are your gowns?

The gowns in our outlet are all priced from £199 to £600.  These dresses would usually retail between £800 and £2300.

Where do your gowns come from?

Our gowns come from well-known UK designers who have excess stock due to discontinuation or cancelled orders.  We’ve personally chosen each gown that hangs on our rails, we’re not just cramming the rails with dresses just to make the store look full!  A small handful of the gowns may have been used in designer photo-shoots or may even have taken a trip down the catwalk and these have been discounted appropriately.

Do you sell accessories?

We’ve chosen a fabulous range of tiaras, head-dresses, veils, jackets, wraps, bridal belts and petticoats with which to accessorise your gown.  We’ll help you to select the ones that best compliment your gown.  We can also provide bags to keep your gown in prior to the wedding, storage boxes for pre- and post-wedding storage, as well as travel boxes that are accepted for cabin storage on flights.

Do you carry out any necessary alterations?

We do not undertake dress alterations ourselves, however we can recommend the services of several highly experienced bridal seamstresses and we will provide the contact details to our customers in store. Our staff are very knowledgeable of what alterations can and cannot be undertaken and will advise you accordingly.

Purchasing a gown that does not fit:  Some Brides would like to lose weight before their wedding and hope to be a dress size smaller by the time the big day comes around.  Please note, if you are purchasing a gown that does not fit you perfectly we will always give you honest advice as to whether, in our opinion, a dress can be altered to fit. However, the customer is solely responsible for purchasing a gown that does not fit and does so at their own risk. Any gown alteration requirements are the responsibility of the customer and the Warwickshire Bridal Gown Outlet will not be liable for any charges relating to third party costs such as seamstress alterations.

What if I can’t decide?

Buying your wedding dress is a big decision and once you have found your perfect dress you may want a little time to think before committing to buying it. We are happy to place one wedding dress on reserve for you for two weeks to provide you with some time to consider your choice. There is a charge of £50 for this service which is treated as a non-refundable deposit, but it will be deducted from the price of the gown should you decide to go ahead with the purchase. If you decide that the dress is not the right one for you, we can transfer the deposit to another dress.

Do you store gowns?

Having so many gowns in our salon is a huge responsibility and one we do not take lightly. Once a deposit has been placed, a gown will be stored for two weeks by which time the balance must be paid and the gown taken away. If your gown develops any creases whilst in your storage and is not being altered, we can steam it before your wedding date at a cost of £25. Just pop your gown in to us a week before your wedding and we will arrange collection with you the day before the big day.

How do you take Payment

Payment can be made via all major credit and debit cards and cash is also accepted.  You can choose to pay a deposit and then the balance upon collection within two weeks, or pay in full and take it away with you the same day.

Do any of the gowns have slight imperfections:

As we are a gown outlet, a tiny handful of our gowns may have slight marks or a minor degree of damage, most of which is repairable. We will do our best to point these out to you prior to your purchase but the customer is responsible for checking the garment thoroughly prior to purchase. Refunds or exchanges are not available on dresses that have been discounted further due to imperfections.

Cleaning of Gowns

Regardless of the care label, we always recommend you seek professional dry cleaning advice if you wish to have your gown cleaned.

Refunds and exchanges

Please be aware that we do not offer refunds, even if you change your mind or the wedding is cancelled.  Under certain circumstances, we may offer a credit note, or allow you to exchange your gown for another.  In this situation, if you choose a gown of a lesser amount, we will not refund the difference between the two gowns.

Your standard statutory rights are not affected.

Do I receive a contract or receipt?

The stylist will complete a sales form with your details and details of your gown which you will be asked check and sign before being given a copy of this and any receipts for payments for your own records.

Please Note: Whilst we do not wish to deter any Bride, we should point out that Warwickshire Bridal Gown Outlet should NOT usually be the first place you visit in your search for a dress.
Our dresses are not here to be repeatedly tried on ( which is how we differ from the bridal shops where you would order a new one from the one you try on.) All gowns here are intended to be worn at weddings so in this way we are different to the bridal shops who sell from samples. We aim to make  all our customers welcome but it can be very frustrating for us, especially at busy times, when appointments are taken by girls who have no intention of buying our gowns -remember our dresses are all destined to be worn at weddings so it’s in the interest of all our lovely brides that we try to protect our stock from unnecessary wear and tear.
